Slide Show Help

2 Questions I hope someone can answer for me....

Client brought me a slide show they had began to set up in Vegas Studio. Lots of little picky errors. I'm looking for a quick fix hopefully to two of them:

1. Is there a script or way to make all still pictures the same lenght without changing the properties of each individual slide?

2. The client added a fade in/out to every picture...all of different lengths. Any script or way to delete all fades from all pictures also?

They also had blank spaces between alot of pictures but fortunately I have a script to delete those. 250+ pictures already laid out and arranged with text. I don't have the time (or the desire!!) to touch each picture.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry to not answer your questions, but i want to point out two things. 1) There are no scripts for Vegas Studio, so if you use scripts that means you'll be working in the full version of Vegas. 2) Once you save in Vegas, the new .veg file cannot be opened in Vegas Studio. So, once you start this, you'll have to finish it. The client will be out of the loop.

I use Vegas..hence the use of scripts. He set it up in Vegas Studio and I am trying to finish the project for him....again in Vegas. I am aware that you can't save .veg files and then open them Vegas Studio.

Thanks memories....but I am almost sure that I was able to adjust the time length of all photos once before but can't for the life of me figure out how I did it.

Oh well.......guess I'd better get to work!

You can use something like UltimateS to adjust lengths and transition overlaps. You can also change the default length when you put new stills on the timeline - the default is in the preferences settings.

#1: Yes

#2: Yes

Blank Spaces: Yes

Both Excalibur and Ultimate S will handle all of the above. However, there are some free alternatives:

#1: SetEventLength.js

#2: FadeInOut1Second.js

Blank Spaces: http://www.jetdv.com/vegas/forum/viewtopic.php?t=636

Actually, the free Set Event Length and Crossfade script will do both at the same time. Just remember to select all the events on the track first (as it will move everything to the beginning of the track).
