I am trying to set up a SLIDE SHOW in DVD Arch. that will not move to the next slide unless the USER pushes next or play, or something. The SLIDE SHOW was done in VEGAS.
Is there a way to make the DVD stop at a marker or something so that it works almost like Power Point?
This may be over simplistic...but since you would have to "push buttons" anyway....can't you just hit "pause" to stop on a slide....and hit "play" to resume.
Yes, that would be simple enough... however, this is a DVD that is being used in Retirement homes all through England and the problem is the amazing amount of hosts in these homes that are either computer illiterate or even DVD player illiterate. So we are trying to create something of a 'no-brainer' interaction DVD.
I think about the best you can do in a DVD is to add each image as it's own menu page. On each menu put a link to the next one. That way every time the viewers press the 'play' or 'enter' button on the remote it will move to the next menu.
I don't think this can be done in DVDA. However, I'm pretty sure you can use the "Still Time" feature of the free PGCEdit utility. You can Google this. I found the following explanation over in the Adobe forum:
"put a Scene menu marker somewhere in the middle of the question (2-1/2 seconds on each side for a 5-second still). After doing that for each question, burn your DVD to a folder.
