slide show transitions

Hi again,

Ive created a slide show track of JPGs, i want to display each picture for 7 seconds and have a 2 second transition.

Im having difficulty trying to apply a 2 second transition to all the pictures.

I tried the script in this thread

http://www.sonicfoundry.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?ForumID=4&MessageID=150964

but it only put a transition on 2 small video clips and not inbetween each picture as i was expecting.

can anyone point me in the right direction.

regards
Jc

In the Vegas preferences you can set to automatically overlap clips by a certain amount of time, then just select all your clips at one and drag them to the timeline. Vegas will automatically make the clips however long you want and add a transition for however long you want. There is no need for scripts to do this.

Go under Options - Preferences - Editing

Set the New Still image length to however long you want the image to be displayed for.

Set the Cut-to overlap transition to however many seconds you wat the clips to overlap and create a crossfade.

And be sure to have a check mark in the box that says "Automatically overlap multiple selected media when added.

I figured out how I can insert some transitions (for now i just want a cross fade), but the default length of a transition seems to be 0.7 of a second, im looking for where I cna change this to be 2.0 secs

any clues ?

cheers

jsnkc gave you the answer. Change the "cut to overlap conversion" time to 2 seconds.
