Slideshow Effect settings do not work

Hi All

An absolute newbie here.

I'm using Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10 (Build 179)

I am trying to create a simple photo slideshow but the effects (Carousel thru to Soft Wipes) are not applied to the photos in the timeline.

I have watched tutorials on YT but cannot get the Effects to work.

What am I doing wrong?

It's easier to tell you what you're doing wrong when we know what you're doing, Cubby.

Can you explain step by step what you're doing to create your slideshow and use the template?

Are the events (clips/photos) overlapped at all? Doing do creates a cross-fade transition. To add effects, drag the effect down to the overlapped area and it should be applied to that transition.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I have worked it out!

I wasn't allowing enough time between the default transitions for the Effects to be applied.
