I'm haveing trouble finding out the answer to this question: How do i slide the many clips i have on my time line without grabbing each individual clip? Here's the problem. i made a 3 minute movie about 30 clips each with transitions and all. and NOW i want to add a clip to the front... but my first clip is at timeframe 0:00:00 UGH! any help would be appreciated.

Position your cursor at 0:00:00 and Insert, Time. you can choose how much time to insert. If you end up with extra blank space you want to get rid of, make sure Ripple edits are turned on, doubleclick in the blank space to highlight it as a loop, and press the Delete key. Everything to the right of the blank space will jump back as a unit.

LMNOP,
Another useful tip is to right click the first clip that you want to insert before and click on "select to end". That allows you to slide everything from that point to the end either way you need to move them. Happy editing.

Be careful of using stewartr002's tip, however. You have to make sure that you select at least one clip from each line that contains clips before you "select to end." If you don't, you will only select to end on the video line, but you will miss everything on the video overlay line, or the various other audio lines. This can really mess things up if you don't catch it right away.

How exactly do you do this?

Thanks

I use shift/click to select any number of events, and used in conjunction with right-click i can select events to end on any track.
