Slight OT: B/W DVDs

Not tooo much action over on tre DVD Forum:

I produced 40 ice hockey DVDs för a youth hockey team. About 3 or 4 people said they see it in black and white only. The audio is OK. What could possibly be wrong here?
Could it be the "minus" verses "plus" type of DVD blanks?

Almost sounds like those 3 or 4 people have players set up for PAL instead of NTSC or the other way around, depending on where you are.
