Slightly OT: Fonts only in Vegas?

In a video I've just edited, I've used the font "Tiranti Solid LET" in Vegas for titles etc.

I want to use this same font from windows applications (specifically powerpoint) in creating a cover. But this font does not seem to be there. I've looked in the fonts directory in Windows (via fonts on the control panel); it is not there. (I have Windows 2000).

I did some searches and found some posts which say that Vegas doesn't come with any fonts, it just uses fonts which are there. Any idea why Vegas can use this font but I can't see it from Windows?

Look in Windows fonts for 70729___.TTF. If it is there, double click and it will show a preview and description.

EDIT the above is the Tiranti Solid LET which will be there.
It seems that perhaps Powerpoint won't use it.

This whole fonts issue used to drive me buggy. I finally went here:

http://www.styopkin.com/

and bought his advanced font viewer. A very handy way to peruse. Also, given the limits of Windows in the fonts folder, I just create a Fonts2 folder and drop all purchased fonts in there. Then I can add them to the Fonts folder for use as needed.
