Slightly OT: Playing a Sony mini DVD-RW

A client just shipped us a Sony mini DVD-RW disc from her "wonderful new camcorder." It won't play on any of the four standard DVD players we own. Is there any way other than having a Sony camera to open this disc?

Check if you need to finalise the disc before you can watch the recorded video on other dvd players

I've run into this before - most folks don't realize (because they didn't read the manual) that they need to finalize the disk. Best bet is to have the machine that recorded it finalize it. Ship the disk back to them, tell them to look in the manual about how to finalize the disk (I recall it's pretty easy to do), then once finalized have them ship the disk back to you.
