Slow Motion and 24p

I've got some 24p footage that I am trying to apply a slow motion effect to (crtl drag) When I preview the footage with the slow mo applied it looks nice. When I selectively pre-render the clip however, it looks all "stroby" (juttery, some might say). Adding supersampling and motion blur envelopes only makes it worse. Is there a way to render so that it looks like the preview? (perhaps without any resampling?) (PS - when I render the clip without the motion effect it looks great. I'm using the 24p settings to render and prerender.)

Well I guess I answered my own question. When I hit "disable resample" under the switches for the clip and then selectively prerender, it plays back like the preview. However, the render time is like one second, almost like it didn't render anything. So am I viewing a rendered file or is it still the preview I'm looking at? And in general, is it normal for 24p footage to look so strobed out when slowed down. (There is a fair amount of movement in the shot.)

make sure resample is on. I know they tell you to turn it off for 24P but when I slow down a clip I resample and it cleans up the jumpy feel.

Oh, so they do say to turn off resampling when using 24p. That explains it. It looks better to me without the resampling.

I was just playing around with converting some clips to 24P (no slow motion), and followed the instructions in Help that say to Disable Resample... but if I do, the result is all jumpy, almost unwatchable. Hmm...

That is what I said in my post above - the "they" in my post refers to the 'help' where it says to make sure that 'resample' is set to off. When I did that the result was very stop motion-ish but when I re-turn it 'on' the result is fine thusly my suggestion was to make sure the resample was turned on to see if it made a difference for 24Peter.
