Does VideoFactory allow me to render my edited videos in either slow-motion or fast-motion, the speed of which being configurable?
For example: Render video at say 93% of normal (7% reduction in speed).
Hmmm.. Do you want the finished film or clip to be in Slo-Mo or Fast-Mo? Or are you asking is there a way to control the rendering time? If you want to change the rendering time I don't know. But if you are wanting - to use your words - wanting to render the clip so as to give Slo/Fast-mo, then there is a real time solution to this within the editing process.
1. Select the clip you want to Slo/Fast-mo
2. Grab the Right Hand handle of the clip with your left muose button
3. Hold down the Ctrl Key
4. Pull the clip-handle to the right
5. This streches the clip = SLO MO
6. Go in the opposite direction - ie squash the clip - =Fast-Mo
I tried this last night and it is exactly what I needed.
I have some (very) old home movies taken on movie film (about 25-30 yrs old).
I had these movies transfered from film to VHS.
It turns out that when I shot these movies, the batteries in the camera were often just a little low, so when the movies are played on a projector at the correct speed, the sound is a little too fast and adults sound a bit like chipmunks.
I captured the VHS video and, thanks to your suggestion, am able to slow down the
movies just right to produce normal audio.
