Slow motion Velosity or CRTL Move your Thoughts ?

I was wondering what would be better Velocity Envelope or using the CTRL and Move ?
What are your thoughts

If you want a single speed change, it's faster and easier to just CTRL-Resize (which is the same as changing the "Playback rate" in the properties).

If you want variable speed changes, you must use the Velocity envelope.

If you want to go slower than 25% (i.e. freeze frame for example), you must use the Velocity Envelope.

If you want the audio speed to also change, you must adjust the Playback Rate (i.e. CTRL-Resize).

Thank you Jetdv, I also downloaded your file TTS01-09.pdf which is very well put together. I have switched back to vegas from Premiere, Just trying to get up to speed again.

And of course, there is the under-0.25 speed workaround for slo-mo:

--- Render out at 0.25 (with variable speeds through envelopes if applicable), and import that back in and slow that one down, etc.
