slow motion with audio synced

Hi,

I thought I had this but apparently not. I shot a music video in slow motion at 50fps on my EX1. I had a song that was sped up to 150% so the vocalist sang double speed while I overcranked at 50fps. Then I put everything on a 25fps timeline in Vegas. But it didnt sync. I had to fasten the video to 138% to get it to sync with the original track.

Is my math off or did I miss something else here? Ive done this before numerous times with film and its never been a problem. Was my first time with the EX1.

Well, 150% is not equal to double. Maybe that's the error? 150% x 138% is almost equal to double. 150% x 133.3333% would be double.

Yep, you should have played the music back at 200% to the live performance ( might be easier to think in fractions and reciprocals ). You want to play back at 1/2 of shooting speed, so you need to flip that around to get it right in the shooting stage (eg. 1/2 turns into 2/1 or 2x, does that mke sense?)
