I'm here again.
I spend the whole night making tests in different situations. And here are the results, the same for VV 3.0 & 4.0b, all with defragmented HD.
The test is simply maximize and minimize the notepad program with an opened VV window.
You can see the problem loading and emptying the media pool. Load 15 or 20 mpeg files (about 650 MB)and recover control over VV takes 30, 40 or more secs. If you let 3 or 4 files on it, you recover the instant access. I have projects with about 20 mpeg VCD format files, its transition, changing text media (lyrics)and logos so you can imagine my face when i have to go to another program and return to VV window.
Can somebody make this simple test to determine if it is my Pentium 1.4 with 768 MB RAM comp or the VV program?
And if it is VV, something to do? (Please don't tell me just work with no more than two or three files).
Thanks in advance
