It would do that automatically if the video+audio are "grouped".

How would I group them? Because I thought they were already grouped just from default. Ignore Event Grouping isn't selected and the audio and video both move when I drag one or the other so doesn't that mean they are grouped?

It should be grouped automatically, yes. I just tried on my VMS, and when I resize a clip that I drop in the timeline, it resizes both the video and audio, and the audio plays faster/slower depending on the kind of resize.

To group two elements: SHFT+click on the specific video and audio scene and the press "G". That should group them. Then, resize your video by clicking CONTRL+DRAGMOUSE (not simply drag-mouse).
