I was on a photo shoot but managed to get some video with SLR Magic 35mm lens among the photographers shots, flash etc.

If you want to have some fun and do some creative stuff on a very low budget this is the lens.
Manual exposure so I had to set my f stop and spin down on the VG20 exposure wheel back to lens exposure and focus etc
With my fingers it’s like trying to pick up a penny with 2 bananas

SLR Magic sure make some cheap and funky lenses.

I think it was them talking about making an anamophic adaptor that'd guarantee extra, supper, dooper, lens flare :)

Ohoo flip.

Hey for the price with an ND filter would make it too expensive

Nice clip. I am trying to get into HDSLR video with Canon 5d3.i have 24-105L. I know there are lenses specifically advantageous to video. Is there anyone here who has more experience and could direct me to such lenses. Thx.

RZ, a good source for DSLR stuff is cheesycam.com. they review lots of products all geared toward dslr, they post stuff daily so be sure to keep going back in the archives. There's lots to learn about DSLR shooting and it has alot to do with what you know and what you're used to and what type of stuff you shoot. You've already got one of the best cameras out there for video but DSLR shooting really shines in a pro type production (scripted, actors, camera marks, focus puller etc), not necessarily good for run and gun live events. If you use autofocus now, you might not be a good candidate for dslr video.

Thanks a lot for your input. I am in the learning phase and willing to build my skills gradually. One day, who knows.....
