Here's the scenario: Win98SE, Geforce2/TV, Detonator 40.72, DirectX 9, Huffyuv
I use Huffyuv in Vegas to "Preview in Player," with overlay output on Secondary Monitor (TV). It is a quick render and good quality output. In order to work, I set my primary screen at 16-bit, and render with RGB Method set at "Convert to YUY2."
Upon installation of DX9, full screen overlay support disappeared with Huffyuv. As far as I can tell, it did not affect other codecs. I replaced the newer quartz.dll with an older version (8.1b) and full screen overlay support was restored.
I appreciate any input or insight anyone else has on this. Is it a DX9 bug or something else? Rendering my Huffyuv as Type I or Type II did not make a difference. Neither did opening the files in several different players.
