smart render

Hi everyone. I just got my new version of sony vegas pro9d.
I have a Sony hdr sr12e which produce mts 1920x1080i clip.
which is the best template for a 1920x1080i BD output to select for getting smart render to work? I'm using the default setting when placing the clip on the timeline.

I don't know the specific answer for your footage, but in general the critical settings (that have to be exactly the same as your footage) are dimensions, aspect, field order, average bitrate, max bitrate.

If that doesn't do it, you may want to upload a short clip somewhere and let others play with it. Smart-rendering AVCHD is relatively new in Vegas, and I understand from others it can be a bit tricky.
