SMPTE Timecodes

How can I see the SMPTE Timecodes (UB's,etc) that were put on a DV tape ?
Am using a PD150 in DVCAM mode.
I know the 150 doesn't put SMPTE when recording in DV SP mode, but I am using the DVCAM mode.
Have capped a number of clips but not sure how to make Vegas display the Userbits portion of a timecode.

You could try adding the timecode effect to the clip in the media pool.
