SMPTE Timecodes

I have a Sony PD150, How do I get the datacode that displays on the LCD which has the date/time + exposure info of a clip on a tape to display in Vegas 4. From what I read in the manual, the PD150 ONLY records / displays this when recorded in the DVCAM mode, which I am using. I have been trying to figure out how to get Vegas to show the User Bits portion on the SMPTE code on the tape, but to no avail. Tried using the SF Timecode Plug-in, still no go.

I don't think there's any way to access the exposure info.
Time of day for the begining of the clip can be found in the media pool details view.

Shooter, I know of no way to read that Data Code from the PD150's files once they have been transferred into the computer. Secondly, the data code is recorded and can be displayed on playback in both the DV and DVCAM modes.

You can set up the PD150 to feed whatever is on the LCD display to the analog outs...and then capture as analog>DV with something like the Canopus ADVC. There's some quality hit with the a/d conversion and the camera's display info is then permanently burned into the frame...but maybe this is what you want (for a deposition perhaps).

Once the tape is captured there no way to access UBTC.
