Please, please, please, please, please make it possible to
snap the cursor to event boundaries.
I know you can use hotkeys to position the cursor, and snap
to event boundaries. That is not what I mean.
In any professional audio editor, you drag an event handle
to crop/resize the event. But in Vegas, when you drag the
event handle, you can't snap to the boundaries of other
events (e.g., on other tracks). This is a really basic
editing function that I have been crying for since version
1.0. To do this in Vegas, you have to create Markers, which
is a waste of time.
Related to that is the ability to select/resize multiple
events simultaneously. I know you can "sort of" do it in
Vegas by selecting time in all of the tracks, cutting that
time segment, with Ripple mode on. But this is a roundabout
and time-consuming procedure.
If you would add professional level editing features to the
interface, your product would sell a LOT more than it does.
And I am rooting for you.
