Down side for me is, now I see the warts. I clicked on the "seams" of a number of events along my V6-created timeline, and every dotted line (revealing a cut away from the frame edge, probably when making an audio adjustment with Quantize off) makes me wish V7 had a script that both audits overlaps, gaps and half-frames (there is one for that), AND repairs the overlap/gap/half-frame.
.
Okay, so when you align the edge of an event on one track with the edge of an event on another track, you get a flashing blue bar to confirm that event edges are aligned.
The yellow bar shows up when you align the edge of an event with the cursors position on the timeline. If the cursor is already on the edge of an event, you still get a yellow bar.
So yellow means that you are aligned to cursor, blue means you are aligned to the edge of an event on another track, and if it happens to be both, then it turns yellow rather than blue.
A fun way to see the difference is to set the cursor one frame away from the edge of an event, then zoom out so they look the same on screen and you'll get a yellow or blue bar with just a small change in movement.
