So i purchased a subscription but cant activate the key after download

Hi!

So I just bought my Sony Vegas monthly license key as I wanted to experience the software to its full potential.
I haven't even been able to open it yet and I'm already disappointed and considering refunding it.
So what happened was that I just downloaded the software; VEGAS Pro 365 the e-mail link I got sent to me, also installed all other software that came with it. Restarted my PC after completion. After that, I opened up vegas200.exe.
I selected Activate with Serial Number > pasted the serial key in from the e-mail. (Yes everything is correct, there is a green "mark" on the side). The email address is also correct. I then proceed to click Activate & register immediately online.

After some time i get the message:

"The Serial number you entered is invalid or may apply to another product. Please make sure you entered it correctly or check whether you accidentally entered the serial number of another product. If the problems persist, you can get help on the support website.
Error code: -14"

I'm honestly very disappointed as I bought this monthly subscription and I'm losing my days using it because of some weird bug that seems to be not very uncommon if I google this issue.
Please help me resolve this as I don't want to have to lose my whole weekend until this is resolved.

Vegas' support webpage advises re error code 14:

You successfully installed your software, but you still receive the message "Error code -14" when you try to register it.

To solve your problem, first check the indicated serial number for typos. In case you purchased several applications at the same time, please check if you were using the serial number matching to the program.

With your purchase of Vegas Pro (it's not Sony BTW) did you get sent more than 1 serial number (SN)? If yes, are you using the SN for Vegas Pro rather than one of the other products?

You can double-check the correct SN by going to the My Products listing under your MAGIX My Account where you should find details about your Vegas Pro including its SN.
