and I can see where for certain types of projects, especially collaborative work on large projects where it is a very good production option. But for me, except for how well it renders in the preview window, and the type of projects I do Vegas is Da King. When I did professional videos they were either 60 second TV spots or industrial less than 10 minute videos. Vegas works flows are the perfect solution for such work.
I am doing (purely for the net, and mostly for me) a "documinitry" series less than 10' (most are 5), and the work flow is so fast and intuitive in Vegas that I can not imagine using any other system.
Probably at the end of next year I will get a new system, but currently using the various tools, like low resolution preview or proxies my I7700 4200 32 gig of ram / RX480 with 8 gig in conjunction with the Intel builtin GPU, the work flow is fast enough for me.
After 18 my next purchase is Vegasaur specifically for the this project. I hope to see some more refinement in the stabilization which works for abut 75% of the things I need to stabilize, but since I own Mercalli I often keep it open on a second monitor because I am used to it and its settings.
I would like to see Vegas have the ability to import things like FBX or OBJ animation files.
But in the long run, I value my acquired knowledge and the proven intent of Magix to make VegasPRO a top line editor for folks like me and other still active small producers.
Besides the trolls and those folks using hacked versions, this is one of the better forums for providing real help when "stuck", and when you add all of these things up, I'd rather pay for continued development than go with a good software that really serves a different set of needs than my own.
