Yeah, after all, it was AMD that invented the 64 bit computing, or actually defined the 64 bit functionality, that Intel later copied... I sincerely hope that Sony also has invited Intel to play in the same sandbox, since many (including me) are waiting for the SSE4 instruction extensions to be taken into use (boosting render times). Ok, you need a penryn cpu for that, but they are now selling at large numbers...

Well, the guy who does SurvivorMan has switched his editing team to Vegas. The official announcement that upgrades due out in Sep will be free to registered users (great btw). The beer was cold.

I don't know why they didn't show the new hardware based mpeg encoder (expresscard54 working on a laptop from within Vegas..). That would have been a huge hit, even if it's a prototype.
