Some mpegs cause DVD Architect to crawl

Hi, I just bought DVD Architect with Vegas, but am just messing with DVD Architect first. Anyway, I burned a few videos with it completely fine, worked in my DVD player and all. Very happy. But for some reason, some mpegs, when I go to drag them from the media explorer on the bottom to the menu, cause the program to go to a crawl. It gives me a loading symbol damn near forever, and my hard drive grinds like mad. The weird thing is some mpegs don't give me a problem, and some do. The even weirder thing is ALL these mpegs I am putting into it have been encoded EXACTLY the same way. Which makes this all the more perplexing. Anyone with any ideas I'd really appreciate it. Don't want my boss complaining I bought yet another program with company money that isn't suffice! Heh.

I don't think thats a DVD Architect problem. Check and see if you have something else going on in the system. Are you on a server?

Nope, not a server. I'm seriously thinking it IS DVD architect's fault though, especially since it only does it to certain mpegs.

I can report the same problem. I get a similar thing with audio, too. For instance, I will have a 15-second AC3 loop I want to use as a background, I select it and... the PC goes out to lunch for about 10 minutes! It eventually returns and all is well, but what is it doing? I also notice that when I do this, the Make DVD dialog insistes that it must re-encode the AC3. Why?
