For those of you interested in the non-blockbuster features, but those that still might help your workflow:
CTRL-SHIFT-E - this is in the latest build on the site - 5.0a
This allows you to show or hide all envelopes without resetting them. I've wanted this for a while
The time-stretching/pitch shift is friggin' genius. It sounds amazing and you now get a percentage information in the event itself, as well as the amount of cents and semitones.
Takes are now numbered IN the event. i.e. (1/2) or (3/7) etc.
Just be able to pitch shift with the + - keys is awesome. Plus being able to drop acid loops on the timeline and them follow the project tempo. The only downside is the tempo of the loops already in the project won't change if you change the project tempo.
Automation - play with this one. It's close to having a freehand envelope tool. Now if we could just have that...
Double-digit markers that allow you to jump to them by typing the number of the marker with the keyboard. YES!
Dockable windows. Finally! This allows you to dock multiple windows in a floating "dock". Maximize your screen space.
Customizeable window layouts. This allows you to save 10 different layouts for Vegas. This is Huge for me. I can jump from having all windows on monitor 2 to having just the video preview window maximized, etc.
I'm sure I'll think of more to add...
Not to mention all the other great stuff in there: punch in on the fly, auto-input, hardware control, bus-to-bus routing, surround effect support, and on and on.
Good job Sony! I'll forward my list for Vegas 6... :)
