Some things to consider between Premiere Pro & Vegas

Nothing to do with which is better but Premiere Pro activation is for only two computers, these computers technically can't be running Premiere Pro at the same time. As well Premiere Pro is picky and doesn't work on older AMD CPU motherboards and there are some directdraw video cards issues as well.

This means that if you don't have the right configuration, Premiere doesn't even start. And, you can't port it over to another machine. Example, I have it installed on 2 machines at home, but when I go to my dad's I can't run PP and work from there.

This is totally stupid, nobody else is running the program -- I should be able to run it where I want and need it, not on 2 machines only and be locked byu hardware.

As well, if you have to restore your drive with an imaging program, you need to reactivate PP or you're locked out. So better make sure you have online access or the phone handy otherwise you won't be able to finsh your editing job..

More reasons to go with Vegas and in my opinion, Adobe has become really greedy. This buull is to stop piracy but inconveniences people who legally buy it.
