An easy way is to reset Vegas to its default window settings.

You do this by holding down the control and shift keys while starting the program.

No, it's the whole Pan and Crop window that's way up in front of the timeline, not just the little window with the image and the "F".

Try changing your display resolution to something bigger - if you're currently running at 1024x768, change it to 1600 x 1280. You should then be able to move the Pan/Crop window back down and then change your resolution back.

If it's above the top, it will still be above the top no matter what resolution the screen is set for. Increasing the resolution will only helps if the window is lost off the right side or the bottom side.

Try this: assuming the Pan/Crop window is the currently active window (it should be if you've just clicked the Pan/Crop icon in an event), press Alt-spacebar to open up the control menu for the window. Type M to select the Move command. Use the arrow keys to move the window back onto the desktop. Press Esc to exit the Move command.

Dockable windows in Vegas behave much like regular application windows.

What this means in this case is that you have a simple way to move the window:

1. Press "Alt+Space"
2. Press "M" (for "Move")
3. Press the down arrow key (or any arrow key)
4. Move your mouse if you want to move the window more quickly.
5. Pressing "Enter" or left-clicking will set your new window position. Hitting "Esc" will cancel your movement.

Oops. You're right, Esc does cancel the movement. Sorry about that.
