Something is CLEARLY wrong, needs fixing ASAP

Hi, Vegas Team.

There's something wrong when I move the video while making a project. You see, When I move the video (attachment below) when zoomed in, the audio waves just change instantly. I don't know/understand what's going on. If there's a way to fix this, it would be nice.

Sincerely,
Aiden Lockhart

It looks like Vegas is taking time to update the wave, looking online about your PC it mentions RAM a lot (Memory), basically 4GB isn't enough.

Vegas specs say minimum 16GB.

PS. looking at your CPU online, you may not be able to upgrade your PC to more than 8GB which is still a very low amount in this day & age. ie. my phone has 8GB of RAM.

Oh. That makes sense a lot. I haven't been able to decide which programs to delete, as I want to keep them. Thanks for the solution.

I don't think you need to delete anything. Ram is working memory, not hard disk size. I'd close all other programs before opening VEGAS and even then you don't really have enough for Windows + VEGAS.

@Aiden-Lockhart As RogerS says RAM is working memory.

  • The Intel(R) Celeron(R) N4120 CPU is the brain doing all the thinking, (also controlling the graphics on-screen if you don't have a separate graphics card)
  • The RAM is the memory space that the CPU uses to hold temporary information it is using whilst 'thinking'
  • All your programs & Windows are stored on your hard drive, deleting these won't make a difference.

As also mentioned closing every other program bar Vegas may help, If you go to the Taskbar at the bottom of the screen - right click - Taskmanager - Startup you can stop some background programs from working.

Taskmanager - Processes will show which programs are using your RAM, you can then right click 'End Task', this will turn off that program but beware some 'Background Processes' are necessary for your PC to work, you may end up turning something off & then having to restart your PC, these Background Processes will resume, there's no permanent damage. But even after turning things off you still might not be able to work with Vegas well.
