Thanks for your patience in advance; I was typing a credit roll on a project and suddenly the veg minimzed. When I select the V5 icon in the task bar it won't open. When I right click and select "close" nothing happens. Before I restart I wanted to see if you guys know what the heck is going on.

Have you rebooted yet? Vegas is REALLY good about keeping a backup copy, it saved my backside this weekend.

You're the man Nickle, all is well and V5 prompted me to save. After starting V5 again, it did open the restored version but all of my new changes were there.

Funny. I had the exact same thing happen to me just today on MS Access.
