Sonic Foundry makes fool of itself AGAIN!

Well it is now 24 hours later. Finally got the damn stupid registry file to get the unlock code.

I TIRED IT. IT DOES NOT WORK!

Over a dozen times over the past months I had this same idiotic problem. Sonic Foundy has done nothing to correct it.

Again, for probably the tenth time I need to call customer service. They will give me a bunch of bullshit and a whole bunch of unlock codes that won't work either. Why? Because that's what happened twice before, so of course I expect it to happen again.

Its time people knew how screwed up Sonic Foundry's half-ass registration scheme is and rest assured I will keep telling you just how bad it is until someone at Sonic Foundy wakes up!

It does suck, but I have learned the system. I choose the registration option that says I have Internet access on a different PC. Then, I copy the code it gives me, go to the url it tells me to go to, then paste the text, get the info and follow the instructions. It works pretty good, and only takes a few minutes. It does not require any phone calls. I use to do the phone calls until I discovered that little gem option.

You know, if ANY piece of software caused me as much grief as this seems to be causing you, at a minimum, I would ask for a refund. Frankly, I'd probably write off the $100 and move on. Life's too short. But, I STILL notice that there only seems to be one person having the problem you're having...

I have numerous SF products (SoundForge, ACID, VideoFactory) and never has a single problem with the registration process. I love SF products and have had great customer experiences with them. The only other constant in your problem is you.

I had the same problem. So I ran it as a demo and entered the registration #. That did the trick.

Dude? wvg? Scrap the program or upgrade your system or something! You need some help? E-me! Stop bitching at everyone and deal with your own issues! You griped at me when I said SF sucked when SFVF2 no longer had un-dockable windows for video display. You harrassed me BAD for that! I've switched to Vegas Video since then, but thought I'd come around here to see what's up. Here you are still bitching and whining about everything! If it aint working out for you then switch to some other program. None of your whining will make it work any better!

You whined endlessly about a feature that was removed. I have a legitimate complaint if a product I paid for can't use all the features of the application due to some broken registration scheme. Unlike you that just bitched over a trivial feature (dockable verse undockable windows), I still try to help people even though I can't fully use the application myself.

I already HAVE a state of the art system and XP Pro. Thanks for caring.

If you don't like what I have to say be smart enough to use the 'ignore poster' feature.

You want to help? Fine, provide a solution to my problem. I'm listening.

Hint: I'm calling your bluff. Put up or shut up.

WmV, correct me if I am wrong, but your whole dang complaint here is you can't register your product?

I do care, WVG. More than you think. I have no reason to cause harm. Nor do I wish to cause bad feelings on others or anyone who can help me end this sentence fragment.
