Be sure you didn't accidently select the Favorite or Project Setting filter on the upper part of the new render dialog. This could hide various render formats and templates.

Same issue here. I shut down and reopened v11 and it was magically there. Hmm.

Same here. But the Sony AVC and MXF have not come back.

Weird (I think) Match project settings and they show up. Deselect project settings and they disappear. Shouldn't they show in either situation? (assuming they match project settings.

I just tried to render using the Sony AVC encoder in V11 and could not find it. Only choices for MP4 are XDCAM EX and Mainconcept. Trying the Mainconcept.

Same here, whatever I try, just can't get Sony AVC to show up

same issue here. It's in the 32bit but missing in 64bit. I installed 64 bit first.
Ros wrote on 10/17/2011, 11:29 PM
Just launched my 32 bit version and it shows up but not in 64 bit Vegas, strange...

I installed the 32 bit version first.

It’s in the 64-bit version, too:

It's not showing up in 64bit because they forgot it. I went to the folder and it is not there.
Red Prince wrote on 10/17/2011, 11:50 PM
Wadro, did you look at my picture? I did not even bother with 32 bits (what for?). It is clearly there in my 64-bit version.

mine looks just like yours except no sony avc.
Ros wrote on 10/18/2011, 12:22 AM
Just checked again, no Sony AVC in 64 bit Vegas
bsuratt wrote on 10/18/2011, 12:29 AM
Apparently it's intermittent... sometimes it shows, sometimes not. I thought it might have to do with opening a veg created in V10 with both HDV and AVCHD files, (No show). I tried adding an AVCHD file to the timeline in a new V11 project and Sony AVC appeared as a choice and worked.

There is definitely a problem but not sure exactly what causes it. Mainconcept AVC encoder, (which was improved), seems to work OK now.
PeterDuke wrote on 10/18/2011, 1:34 AM
I tried rendering both AVCHD and HDV after setting project to match source, and both times Sony AVC was available as an option. I have only installed 64 bit version of 11.
Ros wrote on 10/18/2011, 12:38 PM
Sony AVC render now shows up under Vegas 11 64 bit.

Don't ask me how and why, I just don't get it, but at least it is now available.

Hopefully it will be there when I need it!

I have 64 bit Pro 11 installed and do not have the AVC encoder as an option. It's not intermittent, it's never been there since I installed last night.

I did render a test project with the Mainconcept YouTube 720p setting and it came out nice. I'd feel better knowing that I have more than just Mainconcept or XDCAM to use for mp4 encoding.
Ros wrote on 10/18/2011, 1:31 PM
Well I had it, now I don't!

It seems that what you feed your timeline with will have an outcome on the render options.

Still have to check it out further, testing this while editing work on Vegas 10.....

Can't narrow it down. Tried multiple tests to figure it out. Changing Proj. Settings. etc. One time it's there, next time it's not. Maybe it'll get fixed on 11a.

I have contacted Sony Support regarding this issue as I still have not been able to access Sony AVC Encoding regardless of what files I put on the timeline. I'll post their response when I receive it.

I have the Sony AVC Encoder, but several templates are missing, the "Internet" templates, I use Internet 720 P for my YouTube videos, works great. But now the "Internet" templates are gone?
I just tried the "Mainconcept" AVC encoder, it works much better in 11 than in earlier versions, guess I can use that one now.
V 11 definitely takes come getting used to.
paul_w wrote on 10/18/2011, 5:40 PM
Just to add the list - me too. Rendered a few times with Sony AVC, then gone!

Paul.

Me, too. I've made some renders using it, now it's gone. Strange! Vegas 11 64bit.

why NO PAL presets in sony avc encoder!!!!!!
PeterDuke wrote on 10/18/2011, 8:05 PM
If by PAL you mean 50i, well I have both 50i and 60i presets (so far) as well as a couple of Blu-ray 24p presets. Tomorrow may be different!
ushere wrote on 10/18/2011, 9:00 PM
hi peter,

should rephrase that (loudly)

why no SD presets ;-) (i mean there's ntsc, for what they're worth ;-))
