The CX-760 is coming soon . . . worth the wait versus the getting the now obsolete CX-700? Yes there will always be a newer, shinier version coming out each year. I had a quick looks at the specs on the CX-760 and it did not appear the image sensor was bigger (?) but I did not have access to the complete CX-700 specs at the time.

I am considering these units because they fit in a particular housing that I will get getting.

Edit: It's the CX-700, not CX-710. My bad. And I was able to get on-line long enough to download the CX-700 specs for comparison . . . no consistent access to Internet where I am right now : (
