I've just finalized a disc with a number of videos on it. I then inserted it into my Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop and there are no files in the DCIM folder, which is where they should be!
Are you saying you created DVD and burned it with DVD Architect?
It almost sounds like you're talking about a DVD from your DVD camcorder, so I'm not really clear what you're asking -- or why you're asking it on the DVD Architect forum.
thanks for the reply. maybe my post should have been in the vegas forum as i would be importing the video into there initially.
basically, when i finalize the disc in my camcorder, then insert it into my laptop, there are no videos showing in the DCIM folder. it's as if there's no files on the disc, but there are!? (i checked back on the camcorder).
i have no idea why this problem exists at all, maybe my laptop is not compatible? (dell inspiron 6400)
I don't think that either this forum or the Vegas one is appropriate for this query, which is really about your camcorder. However, I believe that the DCIM folder is the wrong place to look, as it should contain stills.
On a finalised disc I would expect video to be stored in a VIDEO_TS folder.
