Sony Digital Camcorder not recognized.

I've just installed Screenblast 3.0 and the 3.0a patch. I went into the program and tried to capture some footate on my Sony DCR-TRV103 digital camcorder. I control this camcorder via IEEE1394 link. No response from the camcorder when any button on the software is clicked. The camcorder is listed as Microsoft DV Camcorder twice in the video source section. I've tried the troubleshooting tips from Sony...ie stopping/starting video from the camera as software buttons are clicked/unclicked...etc. I've tried every possible combination known to me to get it to work. Nothing. I ran Showbiz's moviemaker and everything worked fine with the camcorder. I then tried Pinnacle Studio 8. Worked fine. Any suggestions??

I have the Sony TRV-350 and what I have to do sometimes ( don't ask why) is to UNPLUG the 1394 connection, then wait about 5 secs and plug it in again. If that doesn't work try turning the power to the camera OFF then ON again and see what happens.....

After multiple attemps, the program will SEE the camera....
