Sony DRU-710A & Ridata 16X -R

Just received a bunch of printable Ridata -R DVD's.
I get a message in DA that there is an invalid media type inserted.
The drive burns +R ok.... Any idea what's going on?

I'd start by checking to make sure your drive firmware is up-to-date.

My dru-710a did not work with DVDA3 until tech support sent me a new dll file to replace an old one. Did you try a different burning software such as Nero?

Firmware in the drive is up to date... but Nero also seems to reject the media as well.... I'll try the DVD's on another burner & see what happens there.
