SONY DRU500A

Just bought the new Sony drive. It's excellent and fast. I have burned so far DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD+RW, played them on my Sony DVD home player without a hitch. They just got them in one week ago at Comp USA. 349.00. Maybe cheaper with on line company, but they were taking along time to get them in stock. I couldn't wait!

I'm currently using MYDVD but can see that I might need to upgrade soon. Question: What's the best (cheap) DVD program (100.00 or under). Or, should I wait until VV 4.0 where I'm sure this will be added.

I doubt that VV will ever function as a DVD authoring application. That is a complex process and would needlesly bloat VV. Do not confuse the statement by SOFO that the utility for Acid will provide the ability to burn the Acid mix to DVD to mean they are going to do DVD Authoring. Theh key word there was a utility.

DVD Workshop is not sub $100 in cost but is effective and feature rich at a reasonable price.
