Sony DVD Burner / DVDA Problem

So, now that it's the same company, maybe the well documented bug will be fixed?

You know, the one where the DRU-5xx series burners lock up after DVDA ejects a completed disc? You have to manually push the drive door in, eject it again through "my computer," and then it will work again. Not a huge pain, but a nuisance nonetheless.

I have the Sony DRU-500A drive and have never encountered the problem you describe. While it may/may not have anything to do with your problem, are you running with the latest firmware (current version 2.0g) from the Sony support site?

I'm running the most current firmware, and if you do a search on this group, there are aLOT of people who are having the same problem.
