It was a bit of a dog, nothing seemed capable of editing it well and now that cameras that record to flash memory can do much the same in a smaller package I'd say good ridance to it.
I don't think this will have any effect on Vegas whatsoever. First, it's a different division entirely, second, it's a consumer format that Vegas hadn't already been developed for. third, users of a MicroMV probably wouldn't be using Vegas anyway.
It was a cool thing for a short time, but I don't think it took off too well. If it did, I sure didn't see them around much. I can only think of one place I've ever seen one in 'public' use.
Consumer demand has been falling
Japanese electronics giant Sony is set to cut between 15,000 and 20,000 jobs within the next three years, Japan's leading financial newspaper has reported.
