Sony LCD TV 23" as Monitor

Just purchase a Sony LCD S-23A10 TV-Monitor 1366 resolution and fed it with a captured file from MY-HD-120 tuner (NCAA final four) and just could not believe how good it was. It looks better than my Sony KV-34HS510 Crt HDTV and what I want to know is how does the 1366 resolution compare to the supposed 1920 resolution of the CRT?I feed both tv's with the 1080i resolution but now I am confused. I also feed the LCD from the Media Player 10 with the microsoft test HD-WMV's and they look great through the Matrox APVe HDTV overlay. Also used a commercial DVD movie through the APVe overlay with Power DVD and it was great too. The m2t files on the timeline stutter a bit but also look great through the D-component feed from the Canopus 300 via firewire. While playing back the Cineform avi's on the timeline they are fairly smooth but still a little choppy with full best on the preview. After using the "preview to media player render" I can't complain at all about the results. I am one real happy dude but still confused.
