SONY MP3 Plug-In 2.0 Error

Hi

After a hard drive failure I have re-installed V5 & DVDA2.

Now, when I try to insert an mp3 file into DVDA I am asked to register the plug-in but receive the following:

'The following error occured
during registration of Sony MP3 Plug-in 2.0.
Please reattempt later.

ERROR:
Too many activations issued.'

Waiting a while and retrying yeilded no success.

Any advice, please?

either contact sony direct and ask for a new serial or go through your registry and clean teh bugger.. i dunno if u did a fresh OS install, if u did u might need to contact sony

if not, then clean ur registry

It was a clean install.

Stange, but there is no registration required for V5. Is MP3 treated diferently there?

Looks like I'd better contact SONY.

it's their anti-piracy measure. after so many registrations that message pops up & you need to call/e-mail to clear. That way they know it's you & you're not giving the program to random people.

Thanks

I guessed as much - inconvenient but acceptable.

All sorted in a few moments via the Live Chat option.

Cheers
