Sony is recalling the CD's and ceasing production of them.

Microsoft is calling it malware and is saying they're going to give us a removal tool for it.

Sony, well, sony needs to drop kick whatever genious decided to do this out the door and pray that they don't get nailed with more class action suits than the the one in CA and the one in NY, letalone the countries outside the US that are looking into legal action.

what do you think? - can the genious that did this and those that went along with it, putting families out of a steady income for a while? or just say - Let's get the PR going and try as hard as we can to reverse this fiasco and chalk it up to people make mistakes?

I think I'd can em becuase I can't seem to understand why anyone who knows anything would choose to use something that installs a security risk into computers without getting permission first.

Im definitely not defending Sony here but I had to chuckle when I read that. Isnt that like the pot calling the kettle black? I put a share of the blame on M$ as well for allowing this kind of stuff to happen. Furthermore, wasnt security against malicious code and programs supposed to be M$ new number one priority?
