SONY responds with a message that an update is coming!!!

It's been a couple of months that these products have been out. I've personally had them from day one. While Vegas, as expected, is overall quite stable, it has been confirmed that there are still a few issues requiring attention, especially DVDA2. When is an update coming out?

On the DVDA Forum, SONY has suggested some workarounds for some of the bugs. But realistically, some of the workarounds produce an unacceptable lesser quality DVD.

Even if ALL the bugs have not been sorted out, can we not have an update to correct SOME of them? Please? It seems to me that when Sonic Foundry owned things, the updates were much more consistant.

Personally, I'd prefer to give them the time needed to assure that the issues are addressed correctly, THE FIRST TIME, and that something else isn't screwed-up along the way.

But then, my other car is a Pinnacle...

Isn't there already an update for Vegas? 5.0a?

SonyEPM: Just wanted to offer a reminder of my suggestion, welcomed by SPOT, that the media view have a feature added which allows viewing of a thumbnail of the media file along with the tabular format view--along the lines of DVDA2's compilation window.

Vegas 5.0b is being beta tested now. DV Expo is next month. Perhaps....

Good news Sony, DVDA2 is a big improvement on DVDA1, so I look forward to the updates. Because we have been discusssing the topic of royalty free music lately, is it possible (for an additional fee) to have some royalty free music available with Vegas in the next update?

Sure--and maybe they can throw in a some free images and clips from Art Beats--oh and maybe they can throw us all a AJA card, oh and maybe they can send Walter Mirsch over to the studio for a free tutorial session--that would be real cool.

Oh? And here I thought that DVDA2 needed it first.

So is there any idea when DVDA2 will get an update?

Vegasnewbie,

Check out acidplanet.com for free music every week. You can use acid loops in Vegas 5 now, or you can download the free version of Acid which limits you to 8 tracks of audio.

Whatever happened to the Sonic Foundry site that let you download loops of popular songs (i.e Madonna and Depeche Mode) and allowed you to remix them in Acid? I miss that site.

Dear Acidsex,

Are you maybe referring to the Contests section? If so, try this link http://www.acidplanet.com/contests/
