If I remember correctly John mentioned the BlackMagic Cinema Camera (2.5K) which is US$1995. The BMD 4K camera BlackMagic Production Camera 4K is US$3995 with a super-35 sized sensor. The Sony 4K camera has a S-16 (or a bit less) sized sensor, so some would argue that is going against the trend for production cameras. Of course the Sony provides much the BMD 4K doesn't (e.g. lens).

I agree with Serena, such a tiny 4K sensor and from that recording 10bit 4:2:2 onto expensive media doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
By comparison the PMW-200 has three 2K sensor that are slightly larger at around the same price.
