I upgraded to V6 and DVDA3. Can I sell my old Vegas 5 and DVDA2 licence (I'm aware it's not upgradable now). Main reason I ask is after Version 4 I've been purchasing the download. I need a confirmation, preferably from someone in the Sony staff so I can refer any possible buyer to it to prove it's legitamacy. That is if it's indeed ok. TIA
What you own is not Vegas or the CD. You own a license to use them and that is represented by your serial number. When you "sell" your copy of Vegas to someone else what you are actually doing is selling that person the right to use your license. Your serial number will be invalidated and the buyer will be issued a new one.
The new owner can always download the software from SONY's site. Even the trial versions are actually the entire program and only need to have the serial number entered and registered to become full versions.
Well I do realize it's the license Kelly but I don't have the .exe any more and don't see any way to download them from the Sony website. So I guess I need to take Buster's advice and contact Sony.
Thanks guys,
Randy
I see Vegas Audio/Video 2.0h, Vegas Video 3.0c, Vegas 4.0e, Vegas 5.0d, Vegas 6.0a all listed. Sound Forge all the way back to 4.0e, Acid Pro 2.0d ... most of them are there.
