I just finished a first BD disk with the SR11 and I have to say that the built in surround sound works better that I thought it would. When I bought the cam I thought it was more of a gimmick than anything else, but this is not the case at all. It's got both depth and direction to it. The cam operator's voice comes more to the rear than the front and visa versa with the subject matter.

We did sort of a neat little experiment with a radio.... we placed it on a chair, focused the cam on it then did a slow 360 degree turn in place with the cam. You can actually hear the radio slowly pan around all the speakers.

Pretty impressive for a built-in mic set up!
