I've seen a lot of Sony bashing over the last week for v9 but I've found the 64 bit v9 to be much, much more stable than the 8.1 64 bit version which was pretty much unusable.
To be fair I am not a professional and don't use any plug ins but for me v9 64 bit has been a great upgrade.
The only major hassle is the "stutter" at the start of each clip playback - only lasts for approx 1 or 2 seconds but it is annoying. Happens whether in the media explorer, trimmer or timeline. I have a reasonably powerful PC with fast hard drives so I see no reason for a stutter. I note in earlier posts its suggested AVCHD is too compressed for PCs to play back smoothly - but Sony's PMB program manges smooth playback without issue.
So if Sony can fix the stutter then Vegas 9 would be perfect for me!
