Sony Vegas Interface

Bandwidth Bandit wrote on 4/22/2008, 3:37 PM
I while back I changed the look of the interface of Sony Vegas and now I cannot figure out how to get it back to the default look. Basically the track pain is on top and everything else is on the bottom. Can anyone tell me how to switch it back without pulling all the panels individually? I know it is a few clicks and it's done I just don't remember how. Help?

I believe there is an option on the Vegas settings that says "timeline up or down", or something to that effect.

Hi BB,
Not sure what your screen looks like, but you can move any window anywhere you want by clicking and dragging on the six dots it the upper left hand side of each window you want to move. If you want to reset Vegas back to it's original settings all together, click to open the program and then immediately hold down shift and ctrl together, (before the program opens) until you get the prompt to reset all setting to original. Let us know if this helps. Cin

Options -> Preferences -> Display has what you are looking for. Try unchecking "Dock windows at top of main window".

That is the default.

Placing a check mark where ForumAdmin suggests should get it the way you want. I LIKE it. I haven't looked for it before but I always wanted to have the timeline at the bottom. Thank you for this thread.

Thanks ForumAdmin for the guest appearance, and nice tip. Always appreciate what you have to offer, but still confussed as to why you are such a stranger to your own board ;) Cin
