Sony vegas masking

Former user wrote on 4/6/2021, 9:21 PM

Hi! I'm new to vegas and just got sony vegas pro 18 on windows 10. I have previous editing experience but this is slightly different. Whenever I use the masking tool the outside doesn't get shaded like it's supposed to and the mask just doesn't show up. It's not like I'm cutting out a complex shape because I'm just using the rectangle cut lol. Any suggestions? Thanks

"Sony" Vegas Pro? It hasn't been "Sony" for several years now. Which build of Vegas Pro 18 do you have?

It's now up to build 482 and there have been many bug fixes since the release. Please update and see if your problem persists.

@Former user  ... you've probably outed yourself as having a cracked/pirated version of Vegas Pro. If you are brand new to Vegas Pro in 2021, why are you referring the product name back to a former product owner from some 6 years ago? Please don't come back with, "sorry, I meant Vegas Pro".

Please be honest, where did you download Vegas Pro 18 from?
