Sony Vegas Pro 14 Audio Problem??

Hello to all,

So recently I've just upgraded from Vegas Pro 13 to 14. With Vegas Pro 13 I had a lot of issues that I couldn't deal with anymore. So I've bought Vegas Pro 14.

Today I tried importing a song/audio into Vegas which worked fine doing so. And the same with a video I imported and went ahead to sync up any beats in the song to my video. Once synced to the beats, I went to play right from the start of the timeline and everything was synced perfectly. BUT, if I was to play the video let's say halfway through on the timeline. The audio seems to not be synced anymore and it's playing a different part of the song which it shouldn't. Sounds like to me it's skipping ahead??

Bare in mind, I had placed markers on my timeline to know where the beats in the audio is. And that's how I found out the issue I was having because it's not synced with the markers but only if I play from the start of the timeline. This is serious because I can't continue editing without knowing how to now sync my video with any beats on the song/audio I'm using.

Note: If this helps, I was using some game capture footage which I had which is literally all I use to edit with in Vegas.

Any help would be great, thanks.

Kieran.

If the song is an MP3, convert it to another format (preferably WAV) before using it on the timeline.

Thank you, worth a try. I'll keep you updated if this works or not!

Nope, I converted the song to WAV like you said. Nothing has helped. Still continuing to have this problem. I haven't got a clue what to do and I'm on the edge of giving up on this project.

Okay, how did you convert to WAV and what were your WAV specs? Did they match your project spec?

I have some sort of video converter I have bought which is installed on my computer. I used that to convert from MP3 to WAV. And I do not know what you mean by my specs??
